Although it is the simplest antenna, a rigid dipole is a lightweight, easy to handle and easy to assemble/disassemble antenna.
Depending on the height from the ground, dipoles have very interesting gain, front/side ratio and main lobe elevation.
Great for both fixed and portable installations.
